Zao Shen in Lore
- Zao Shen, or Zao Jun, is the Kitchen God of Chinese folk religion and mythology. He is a very important domestic God. (his name meaning "Stove God" for Zao Shen, or "Stove Master"/"Lord Stove" for Zao Jun) as each year he makes a report to the Jade Emperor of Heaven on the activity of every household in China. The Jade Emperor either rewards or punishes based on Zao Shen's reports. Note that in lore, Zao Shen like sweet food like candy instead of human sacrifice as shown in Supernatural.
