The Weekly World News (WWN) is a mock tabloid newspaper published by American Media Inc. It was launched in 1979, and uses the slogan: "Nothing but the truth: The Weekly World News!" Based on the headlines, however, it seems many stories are intended as jokes. The WWN never publically questioned the accuracy of its own stories until 2004, when the paper began stating that "the reader should suspend disbelief for the sake of enjoyment".
2.15 Tall Tales was promoted in Weekly World News, February 19, 2007. Scans of the article below, thanks to shinetastic.
