I reverted your edit on Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things because the blog linked to is all about the movie, and much more interesting than the Wikipedia entry. people can easily look the movie up o Wikipedia or IMDB, but where there is a site like this blog, i'd rather direct people to it. --Missyjack (talk) 19:10, 20 March 2013 (PDT)

Thanks - have blocked the spammer. Same person as yesterday, so I will be extra vigilant for th enxt few days. Tahnks for the alert and reversing the edits. Missyjack (talk)

I have noted your complaints that we only have one captcha. The Wiki has limited technical support, and it costs money, so I need to prioritize where I spend my money. Missyjack (talk)

This is another request to please be polite to other users. New users often are not sure if they can just go in and edit a page, or they may not be confident in their coding so its quite fine for them to point errors. The Wiki runs as a community and we expect fans to help out fellow users. As I pointed out below. --Missyjack 04:22, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

And the solution to this is not telling them they're welcome to edit the page because... —EllieMurasaki 11:32, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
You didn't invite the user to edit the page, your tone was one of "you found it ,you fix it". If your intent was to be welcoming some pleasantries would help. --Missyjack 00:51, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
I don't see the difference. —EllieMurasaki 00:52, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
As i said below try prefacing comments with some sort of greeting or nice comment rather than just pointing out that you think someone has done something wrong, --Missyjack 04:17, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
Where did I say I thought she'd done something wrong? Where did I even imply it? —EllieMurasaki 01:56, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Please try and be polite to other Wiki users. Everyone is here to enjoy working on the Wiki, and new users esp need to be welcomed and and made to feel unwelcome. --Missyjack 21:44, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

I thought I was being polite. —EllieMurasaki 22:24, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

It may be your style, but you do come across as being abrupt. Try prefacing comments with some sort of greeting or nice comment rather than just pointing out that you think someone has done something wrong. --Missyjack 22:31, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Just to let you know that the Supernatural Wiki has been nominated for an award at SFX (more details on our home page). We are up against some famous fan sites like Leaky Cauldron and The One Ring. This is a testament to all the great contrinuters like yourself who make the site so awesome. You can vote here - please spread the word! Missyjack

Did, thanks —EllieMurasaki 23:23, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Could I please remind you that we expect all Wiki users to be polite and respectful in their interactions with other users. If you have an issue with a user or their editing please email me on --Missyjack 07:43, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Hi Ellie Murasaki I just noticed what you added to the Archangel Talk Page under the Spechulation Theory Message that whole Spectualation Theory should with Archangels and Elements should be only credited to User:Anderson54 because he was the one who put it on the main Archangel Page along with a small message on the Archangel talk page as well. I just moved his theory off the main Archangel Page since it is considered Spectulation to the Archangel Talk Page and added it to his orginal small message. I just thought you should know that the theory should be credited to User:Anderson54. Oh well talk to you later.

From Rod12

Well, I just reread your message and I guess your intentions were good its just the way you presented your post.

Anderson54, February 9th 2011

Hey there!! I completely fathom what you said in your message; you're absolutely right, I shouldn't waste my time erasing text from spam pages that will just be deleted by an Admin. But just as a heads up, next when you post a comment, you don't need to be rude to me, okay?

Hi - We are updating our bot protection for the site and will see if we can make account creation more 'human' biased. An inecitable consequence of increasing traffic unfortunately - we're up round a quarter of a million hits a month! --Missyjack 01:02, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

I am assuming 6.15 is meta episode as title is "The French Mistake. This comes from a famous scene at the end of Mel Brooks western spoof "Blazing Saddles" where the action breaks the fourth wall from the old West onto the Warner Brothers studio lot. At one point the cowboys literally crash through a wall onto the set of a musical number where a cast of very camp dancers are performing a song called "The French Mistake" (which itself has a whole other interesting meaning!) So I think its a fair bet!--Missyjack 20:47, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

I am not sure why it wouldn't let you edit the page - it is only protect for unregistered users. So maybe try clearing your cache? --Missyjack 00:28, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi - I'm rewatching the episodes with John multi times for fanfic and keep catching these weird things like the calendar. Now that I've watched Salvation again today (oy) I noticed a second calendar in the episode -- in the hotel room behind Sam and then Dean. I can't read what month it is, but it starts on a Wed. and ends on a Fri. and has 31 days. Looking at the 2006 calendar, the only month that did that was March; it also had the 20th on a Mon. which matches the calendar in the hospital scene with Dean. We know that Salvation can't possibly take place in March because previous episodes like Scarecrow and Hell House take place in April and June, respectively and you are correct to assume that John is not missing for many months. The likelihood is that from the beginning of Dead Man's Blood to the end of In My Time of Dying, the time passed is 14 days or less -- In My Time of Dying is probably 4 or 5 days at least. Every time I count on my fingers, if I cut serious corners, I get it down to 11 days. --Jlynne 21:19, 11 December 2010 (EST)

Hi - With transcripts I would keep stage directions limited to what is happening on screen at the time without 'retro-adding' detail i.e "MARY sees a figure she assumes is JOHN..." or in The Magnificent Seven "A woman stands watching the house..." rather than "A woman later revealed to be the demon Ruby stands watching the house..."

I think most people use transcripts for checking dialogue, so that's always my priority to get right rather than stage directions.

cheers --Missyjack 23:26, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Say something. Anything. Test one two three. Anything but that.

Say something. Anything. Test one two three. Anything but that.

Hey! Thanks for the brilliant work you are doing on the transcripts. I am not sure how you are doing them, but it made be of help to you that you can get a file with all the dialogue byt downloading the subtitles file for an episode from here:

Just change the file extension to that of a text file and you can open and edit.

cheers --Missyjack 09:40, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

...that'd be the obvious and easy way to do the transcripts, wouldn't it? Here's me been watching five seconds, pausing to type, rewinding five seconds, watching ten seconds, pausing to type, rewinding five seconds, watching ten seconds, pausing to type...glad somebody appreciates it, anyway. (I am never again writing a paper where some of my sources are TV episodes for which I cannot find transcripts. Never.) Thanks, I'll check that out. —EllieMurasaki 14:11, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

believe you me, the transcripts are one of the most popular and useful parts of the IWki. But also hardest to do! let me know if you have any probs with the converting the subtitle files to a text file, I am happy to do it and email them to you. You ened to add in who is speaking, and format for the IWki, but it is a lot quicker! Thansk again. --Missyjack 01:14, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Hey theree - thanks so much for your work on the Wiki! And thanks today for cleaning up those bad edits. If you ever have any questions or suggestions you can contact me at cheers --Missyjack 21:06, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

You can put a link on the Meta page would be best. There is a section for "gender" cheers --Missyjack 19:04, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

Hey EllieMurasaki,

Welcome to Supernatural Wiki! Thank you for the transcript edits. How did you become a Supernatural Fan?

--Anderson Writer, 15th MARCH 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the wonderful work you are doing with the transcriptions--Missyjack 10:51, 16 March 2010 (UTC)!

Just wanted to let you know one of the the Ghostfacer producers was in touch with us. They loved the stuff on the Wiki, and he was particularly thrilled that you'd done a transcript! cheers --Missyjack 05:31, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

*blink blink blink blink* COOL. —EllieMurasaki 13:58, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

I don't think Sam/Lucifer warrants a fanfic pairing page - a dozen fics by mainly 2 people doesn't count it as a significant enough pairing - however I'll add a mention on the rarepairs page. --Missyjack 20:52, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Hey - I'm aware of the "internal Server Error' problem and have notified the technical wiz on our admin team and she's going to fix it over the weekend. Thanks for all your work, and hopefully we can stop this annoyance! cheers --Missyjack 00:40, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

Ha! your latest edit on 6x04 cracked me up. --Ashley 14:40, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the director fix on 6.05, I didn't have the credits available and counted on the episode specific accuracy of imdb. Sorry about that. --MisterGlass 13:06, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

Lucifer's Cage

This is not meant to disrespect you in any way, but the majority consensus is clear that Lucifer's Cage is in Hell, and you have not one shred of evidence to cast doubt on this fact, which had been confirmed by multiple characters. I respectfully ask that you stop trying to deny the existence of all evidence that proves this fact and refrain from making any further edits to the page that tries to further your own disbelief alone. You have not had one person come to see things your way and several have agreed to the contrary. Any further editing trying to deny the facts will be removed and eventually could result in you being taken to task with the administrators. Thank you. Lucifer1987 23:04, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

I'll reedit Lucifer's Cage after the next ep when i expect we'll get more info. --Missyjack 02:38, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

You do a lot of great work here on the Wiki but could you please leave the issue of Lucifer's Cage alone for now and not comment on other's talk pages about it? Seriously we have little canon on it and its really not worth expending so much energy on. Thanks. --Missyjack 20:48, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

The next person to comment on Lucifer's Cage anywhere on the Wiki will be banned for a week. --Missyjack 19:30, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

I have fixed the typo. The page is open for editing so you could've fixed it yourself. And I don't appreciate being abused - future abusive messages to myself or other editors may result in banning. --Missyjack 04:01, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi - we have installld additional spam blockers, which obviosuly aren't working well enough, so we are currently getting additional technical advice on stoppping the spam. As to the transcripts, I am aware that most of the S1 transcripts are links to Twiz Tv, but my aim at present is to makes sure all episodes either have full transcripts, or links to transcripts. Once that is done I will see about getting linked trancripts done for the Wiki, because that of course makes them searchable, however it's a job that is not easy to recruit to! As we are the only site that is currently doing SPN transcripts, i think the priority is to make sure current episodes are done, before worrying about the S1 linked transcripts. Thanks for all your work on here. Cheers --Missyjack 02:18, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

Hi - Just letting you know i made some chances to your edits referencing material from the tie in Bobby Singer's Guide to Hunting. Generally readers expect the main canonical material referenced to come from the show, so I have just altered your additions to make it clear that its from another source. I know you had added ref citations, but I wanted it clearer that it wasn't something stated on the show. But thansk for adding the material. --Missyjack 00:57, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
