History
Introduced as a "specialist" by Castiel, Uriel took a vessel and joined Castiel in trying to prevent witches from breaking another seal: raising Samhain. Dean questioned what kind of specialist he was but received no answer. Uriel admits that the town he and Castiel are in isn't the first one that he has "purified."[1]

Sandover. Later, Zachariah restores Dean's memories and explains that after Uriel's betrayal, he had to get his ducks in a row and get Dean to understand that the path he's on is truly in his blood.
