Introduced as a "specialist" by Castiel, Uriel takes a vessel and joins Castiel in trying to prevent witches from breaking another seal: raising Samhain. Uriel remarks that claiming a vessel is currently forbidden and recognizes that Anna isn't Anna of this time. In her defense, she tells him that she is after the people who killed him and he joins her. Michael arrives and kills Anna and sends Uriel back to Heaven.
