Tumblr
Tumblr is a microblogging site where users can post text, pictures or videos. It started becoming a popular site for the Supernatural fandom in late 2009, with a particular emphasis on picture-based posts especially gifs and macros, and eventually overtook Livejournal as th ehome of creative fandom.
Supernatural has become one of the most popular and high profile fandoms on Tumblr. The Supernatural fandom, and our GIFs, have become renowned for appearing in posts of totally unrelated content. This account "WeHaveAGIFForThat" collects some great examples.

In 2018, Tumblr announced that from 17th December] all content including photos, videos or gifs that “show real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples” would be banned, alongside any content that depicts sex. Already many images with no nudity have been flagged and some fan art accounts have been shadow banned.
