The Colt is a singular gun made by [[Samuel Colt]] in 1835 for a hunter at the time. It has supernatural powers: when used with the similarly supernatural bullets made specially for it, the gun can kill anything.<sup>[[1.20]]</sup>
Addendum: However this is now untrue; in [[5.10 Abandon All Hope]], Dean shoots Lucifer with the Colt and he heals immediately. [[Lucifer]] says he is one of five things 'all of Creation' that the gun can't kill.
