Ironically enough, War and Death were the only Horsemen who did not interact with Castiel.

Quick Speculation. As we all know: Death is the oldest Horseman due to the fact that he was present during the origin of time. I think that War was the second Horseman to emerge, and here's why: Battle, War and Conflict started in Heaven with Lucifer by his bickering and constant disputes, thus giving meaning and structure to the entity War. What does anyone else think?

In the Bible it is actually God that summons the Horsemen, so maybe they are some form of angel??? as to "unkillable", well to date everything on the Show including gods have been shown to be able to be destroyed. --Missyjack 05:45, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

I removed the Powers and Abilities section and integrated the immortality question into the bullet list above. I do not believe that the following was established: "it isn't Shape-Shifting because he isn't changing his shape, he's just changing how other people see,hear,smell and feel him." It is known that War can look like someone who already exists, but he may in fact be shape shifting or manifesting in that way, not using his hallucinogenic powers. The only change to human senses he is explicitly known to have caused is the "demon eye" phenomenon. In supernatural, when it says, "And there fell a great star from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell upon the river, and the name of the star was Wormwood. And many men died." wormwood is actually War they figure out, so that means War came from heaven

is not the full quote from revelation, it is parts taken from revelation 8 10 and 8 11.

i am being pretty pedantic here, but War isn't "known as the Red horseman" in Supernatural. Dean asks which Horseman rides a red horse and the priest says "War", but dean doesn't call him "the red horseman". I am not duisputing that he is in fact the red Horseman, just that it isn't how the chacrters refer to him. --Missyjack 05:00, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
