Great point about timeline in Frontierland. Maybe Sam's forgotten what year he's from given the whole missing memory stuff!!!
My calculation of the timeline is that Swan Song occurred in May 2010, then add a year to get to May 2011, the 5-6 months after Sam and Dean reunite, so it could still be late 2011.

I'm not sure the shapeshifters giving rise to the legends of werewolves is a real discrepancy. I always interpreted that to mean that werewolves are a type of shapeshifter and that shapeshifters (in general) gave rise to the werewolf myth. Shapeshifters being a type of supernatural creature would explain why all of the types (the doppelganger-esque ones, the werewolves, and the skinwalkers) are all killed the same way. They're like species within the genus of shapeshifters, to use biological terminology. - deathpigeon 20:51, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
Ejecting angels:
As of season nine it has been noted that an angel can be expelled from a vessel if the host so chooses at any time (In fact it has become a major plot point in Episode 9). However if this were true, there would have been multiple times in previous seasons where this would have been useful. For example, in season 5 Adam could have expelled Michael from his body before the 'prizefight'. Another example being that when Dean travels to the future in 5.04 - The End, Sam is still possessed by Lucifer; While we can accept that Sam may not have wanted to expel him to begin with as he was still fighting to try and take control, are we supposed to believe that Sam would continue to allow Lucifer to wreak havoc using his body after it became apparent he could not take control? - 10:00, 04/12/2013 Edit: Another example being that Jimmy Novak makes it apparent that he does not like being Castiel's vessel.
- The difference is Sam has control of his body with Ezkiel/Gadreel only taking control on the odd occasion. All the other instances of angel possession, like Michael and Lucifer, the angels are in complete control of the body. Mikael (talk)
I did consider this, however as Sam was able to say yes to Gadreel from within his own mind, without physically having to say yes, shouldn't he too be able to eject the angel with out physically needing to control his body? While you could argue that Lucifer or Michael rendered Sam and Adam 'internally unconscious' (In the same way Gadreel makes Sam unaware that he has taken control) and thus unable to do so, Jimmy made it very clear that he was 'conscious' while possessed by Castiel.
Blood types
Although rare, it is possible for a person with AB blood type to have a child with an O blood type, if the parent has the rare cis AB genotype. CVictoria (talk) 00:36, 2 December 2014 (PST)

I think the intent was for the demon blood to make him strong enough to overcome Lucifer (via demon-blood powers), not so much just to prepare his body to be a vessel.
