October 31 was on a Monday

I was fact checking and noticed that Halloween fell on a Monday in 2005. This change tbe time line that is used on this page. If Dean really did arrive on the 31st then the boys were gone for a whole week and Jessica died on November 7th. (in this episode Sam has an interview on Monday) Sam tells Dean "The interview's in like, ten hours. I gotta be there." and that was the night Jess was killed. If you want to go with the theory that the boys road trip was only two days then Dean would have arrived on October 28,2005 (most likely because the fact they attended a party and Jess and Sam don't seem the type to party on a Monday. This makes Jess's date of death October 31,2005

Alternate theory: they forgot to check what day of the week the dates were. Jess died on Nov 2. Says so on her gravestone at the start of Wendigo. —EllieMurasaki 18:47, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
On the other hand tombstones can be wrong. Just ask Elvis Presley.
In It's The Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester (4x07), Uriel states that Jessica died on Nov. 2nd. Conclusion: Kripke messed up the days of the week when writing the script.--Hells Half Acre
It's the argument over what year was Harry Potter born in all over again, because HP canon strongly suggests 1980, but if Harry was born in 1980 then there's no way that the first book can open on...whatever day of the week the first book says it opens on because damned if I remember. Nov 2 is holiday commemorating the dead

Considering that Kripe has made references to Christian practice (for example, Castiel is the name of the Angel of Thursdays), I just have to believe that the night of Azazel's visit to the Winchester home being Nov 2 was not chosen at random. Nov 2 is the Day of the Dead for Roman Catholics (mainly), a commemoration of the souls who died but are still in Purgatory, souls still weighed down by sin that haven't yet been purged to enter heaven. For a dramatic element, it would seem to be an appropriate date to weigh Sam's soul down, would it not? Irondog1970 01:09, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
