Jensen made a surprise appearance at The Boys panel in Hall H at Comic-Con 2024 with two big announcements. First up, Soldier Boy will return to The Boys in Season Five of The Boys, with Jensen as a series regular. "The motherfucker's back," announced Kripke.
On top of that, Jensen will star as Soldier Boy, alongside Aya Cash as Stormfront, in a prequel to The Boys called Vought Rising. Both Jensen and Aya are also producers on the show. As reported in Deadline:
“It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought. We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”
We have already had a hint of Soldier Boy and Liberty's (aka Stormfront) past in Season 3 when Soldier Boy said they founded "Herogasm", the Annual Supe Orgy, together.
If you can't wait til 2026, then Creation Entertainment are holding a convention to celebrate the show in October in New Jersey.
At the end of the Season Four finale, the new President reveals to Homelander that Soldier Boy is not dead, and shows him lying -shirtless- in a cryo storagetube. In Prime Video’s bonus content following the episode Kripke said "Soldier Boy is a fan favorite.It just made all the sense in the world that once Homie has control of the government, that he would learn that his father is on ice....It teases that definitely won’t be the last we see of Soldier Boy."
The episode also featured the character of Robert Singer, played by Jim Beaver, uttering his namesake's catch phrases Idjit and Balls.
Jensen has been cast to star in “Countdown,” a new, 13-episode Prime Video series created by Derek Haas and produced by Amazon MGM Studios. Filmining will start in L.A. in September.

Countdown starts following a suspicious murder in broad daylight, which leads to LAPD officer Mark Meachum (Jensen Ackles) being recruited to join a secret task force of undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement to investigate. But as the truth of a more sinister plot comes into focus, the team must overcome their conflicting personal agendas to unite and save a city of millions.
Derek Haas is a writer of film, (including 2Fast2Furious and 3:10 to Yuma), TV (the "Chicago" franchise and FBI:International) and novels.
 Justin Hartley and Jensen Ackles as the brothers Colter and Russell Shaw - News from Comic-Con 2024 that Jensen will start filming on 29/7 for the second episode of Season 2 of Tracker. On July 14 2024 at the Television Critics Association 2024 Press Tour, it was been confirmed by both the showrunner and Justin Hartley that Jensen would return as Russel for a "multi-episode arc" in Season 2.
Jensen plays Russell Shaw, older brother of the Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) on Tracker and first apepared in the penultimate episode of Season 1 on 12 May, 2024. In the episode, Colter teamed up with Russell, to track down a former army buddy who’d gone missing during a bout of paranoid behavior. The investigation saw the brothers investigating Special Forces dark ops and conspiracy theories, while they dealt with their family's past.

At Jus In Bello Italy 2024 Jensen talked about how he and Danneel work with Chaos Machine and confirmed that they had just sold a show, and had also optioned a novel for development.
Batman
Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Two featuring Jensen as Batman is available from April 24.
JARED
At Steel City Con in Pittsburgh on 9 August, Jared said he may appear in some episodes of Fire Country, although nothing was confirmed as yet.
