Steve Yockey is a television writer and playwright, having previously written for MTV's Awkward. and Scream. Yockey's plays have been produced throughout the United States, Europe and Asia and are known for the their darkly comedic writing, as well as their focus on same-sex relationships.
In 2016, Yockey joined the Supernatural writing staff for season twelve, becoming a co-producer in season thirteen and producer in season fourteen.
On March 8, 2018, it was reported by Variety that Yockey would write and produce a one-hour drama for FOX titled Paradise Cove. The series did not eventuate.
On 1 July 2019, it was announced Yockey was leaving Supernatural for his own show -- Flight Attendant -- a one hour drama starring Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory) based on the novel by Chris Bohjalian.
