Roy Dobbs was the sheriff of Bristol, Rhode Island and married to Brenna.

Samuel and Sam hunted an arachne that was taking men in their thirties, and poisoning them in order to turn them into arachne. They used the local Sheriff Roy Dobbs as bait, and followed the arachne to her lair. Sam killed her by decapitating her. Sam declared the poisoned men beyond help, and shot them all before he and Samuel burned the building. Unbeknownst to them, the arachne survived and escaped.
A year later Sheriff Roy Dobbs, now an arachne, lures Sam back by kidnapping women that Sam slept with in order to exact revenge. Sam initially remembers nothing of the original hunt, but it returns to him in flashbacks. Dobbs catches Sam and Dean but, with the help of Brenna, they escape and Sam decapitates him.
