History

Shaw is the survivor of an alleged bear attack in 1959; however, he tells Dean and Sam that it was not a grizzly that attacked his family, but a creature that was smart enough to unlock the cabin door, roared like no man or animal, and moved like lightning. Dean and Sam discover that it was a wendigo that attacked Shaw, scarring his chest, and killed his parents.
