History
The Seven Deadly Sins are a group of seven demons that appear in the season three episode 3.01 The Magnificent Seven. Despite being black-eyed demons, they possess special powers unique to themselves. They were last on Earth during the Dark Ages, five hundred years ago. They were trapped in Hell until Jake Talley opens the Devil's Gate in Wyoming, releasing them. Shortly afterward, they are all either exorcised back to Hell by Tamara and Bobby or killed by Ruby.
Envy
Envy possesses a man named Walter Rosen. Envy claims that they are not sins but "natural human instincts." He is later captured by Dean Winchester and exorcised by Tamara. Walter doesn't survive the exorcism.
Lust, Greed, Pride
Lust possesses a young lady. Due to her nature she likes to have fun with her victims, before killing them. Lust is captured by Dean and later exorcised by Bobby Singer. Her meatsuit survives.
Greed possesses a young lady also. She is later killed by Ruby with her demon-killing knife.
Pride possesses a young man. He claims to be the root of all sin. He is also assumed to be the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins since he is seen shouting out orders to them. He too is killed by Ruby with her demon-killing knife.
Gluttony
Gluttony possess a bald, skinny man. He forces Isaac to drink Drano (drain cleaner) thus killing him. He is later killed by Ruby with her demon-killing knife.
Sloth
Sloth possesses an overweight man. He kills a family by making them too lazy to get up and eat when their hungry when the food was only a few feet away. Sloth goes after Bobby Singer but is drawn into a devil's trap and exorcised. His meatsuit survives.
Wrath
Wrath possesses an bald, pierced, tattooed man. He exclaims his distaste at being around hunters. He later possess Isaac's dead body as a means to infiltrate Tamara's house where the Winchester brothers and Bobby were staying at. Wrath was later stabbed with Palo Santo and exorcised by Bobby.

2.22 All Hell Breaks Loose: Part Two
The Seven Deadly Sins are later revealed to be among the hundred or more demons seen escaping Hell through the open Devil's Gate in this episode; like the other demons, they appear as demon smoke.
3.01 The Magnificent Seven
The Seven Deadly Sins take on unsuspecting humans as their meatsuits and celebrate their freedom from Hell by murdering other humans through their respective sins. In their down-time, they all hang out at the same bar. Eventually, demonic omens caused by their presence draw Sam, Dean, Bobby, Tamara, and Isaac to the Sins. However, not realizing that there is more than one demon, Tamara and Isaac attempt to capture Envy and in the process get attacked by the other Sins; Gluttony forces Isaac to kill himself, and they plan to kill Tamara next before Sam, Dean, and Bobby intervene, fending off the Sins while rescuing Tamara and capturing Envy. The Sins track down the hunters to try to save Envy, not realizing that he has already been exorcised by Tamara. Wrath manages to trick Tamara into letting the rest of the Sins in the hunters' strong-hold. They separate to attack Sam, Dean, and Bobby: Pride, Greed, and Gluttony are killed by Ruby with her knife; Lust is incapacitated by Dean and later exorcised by Bobby; Sloth is captured and exorcised by Bobby; and Wrath is incapacitated by Tamara and exorcised by either Tamara or Bobby.
The Seven Deadly Sins in Lore
The early Roman Catholic Church divided sins into those which could be forgiven (venial sins) and capital sins which would result in eternal damnation unless confessed during the sacrament of Confession. Capital sins were known as deadly sins because they could have a fatal effect on an individual’s soul.
The seven deadly sins were formalized by Pope Gregory the Great in the 6th Century, although the concept of major human vices dated back to Greek times. They were, from most serious to least: pride, envy, anger, sadness, avarice, gluttony, and lust.
In 1589, Peter Binsfeld paired each of the seven deadly sins with a demon, who tempted people by means of the associated sin. According to Binsfeld's Classification of Demons, the pairings are as follows: Lust: Asmodeus, Gluttony: Beelzebub, Greed: Mammon, Sloth: Belphegor, Wrath: Satan, Envy: Leviathan and Pride: Lucifer.
The Roman Catholic Church also recognizes seven holy virtues which correspond to each of the seven deadly sins. Vice: Virtue, Lust: Chastity, Gluttony: Temperance, Greed: Charity, Sloth: Diligence, Wrath: Forgiveness, Envy: Kindness and Pride: Humility.
