Save Castiel

The website www.savecastiel.com was created to show fan support for the character Castiel following his dramatic transformation in the Season 6 finale, and the announcement that soon followed that Misha Collins would no longer be a series regular. The creators of the site encourage fans to show their appreciation for the character by politely writing or emailing Eric Kripke, Sera Gamble, Ben Edlund, and the staff of Warner Brothers and the CW.

The fans running the site say:

"...if it is Castiel’s turn to be woven out of the Winchester universe, we simply want his journey to end with the respect that we feel the character deserves."

And,

"...regardless of what is in store for the winged wonder who captured our attention, our hearts, and our minds from the moment he walked through those barn doors and revealed to Dean he was the "one who gripped you tight and raised you from perdition", we all agree he should have a meaningful story next season that honors who and what he is as a character. A story that honors the warrior of God who, despite his claims to the contrary, did end up perching on Dean's shoulder, the angel who did it all for Dean. And Sam. And us."

The site features a fan art gallery and will also host articles.
