RoboCop
RoboCop is a 1987 sci-fi movie directed by Paul Verhoeven. The film is set in Detroit in the near future, where an evil corporation takes a near-fatally injured policeman (Alex Murphy played by Peter Weller), and turns him into a cyborg law enforcement officer who feels neither emotion or pain.
RoboCop is a favorite film of writer Robbie Thompson (also from Detroit) who uses the character as an avatar on Twitter.
The movie has been referenced a few times in Supernatural.

And if you weren't RoboSam, you'd feel it, too.
RoboSam is a play on "RoboCop" and was a term used in the Show as well as by fans to describe Sam in early season 6 when he is saved from Lucifer's Cage without his soul. In this state he doesn't sleep, feels less pain, and is almost emotionless, and is particularly lacking in empathy.
