Robert Berens joined the Supernatural writing team in season nine, and currently serves as an executive story editor and supervising producer. He had previously worked on the animated series Kappa Mikey before being hired for the CW series Ringer, which was created by former Supernatural writers/co-executive producers Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder.

- On February 15, 2015 Robert was interviewed on Fox Business about the current shortage of Nicorette lozenges. The host referred to Supernatural as the "very well regarded CW show."
