Rivergrove is a town in Oregon and was featured in 2.09 Croatoan.
It is a significant location in the series due to the fact that it is the second known sighting of the Croatoan Virus, the first being Roanoke Colony. Sam and Dean first learned of the town when Sam had one of his psychic visions. Most of the town's population would not survive the Croatoan Infection, the vast majority becoming infected and then suddenly disappearing. What few residents remaining either stayed to attempt an explanation to the police or left to make a new life for themselves.
Trivia
- In the real world, it has a population of 324 people.
- A telephone pole had the words "Croatoan" carved into it. This is similar to what happened in Roanoke Colony and is what tipped Sam off to what might be happening.
