On February 8, 2011, Danneel tweeted that she and Jensen had a new dog saying that "Icarus now had a brother" - a golden doodle called Oscar. Jason Manns tweeted back that he had grown, posting this picture of himself with Oscar.
At Salute to Supernatural L.A. 2011, Jared referred to the dogs as "Icarus and Oscarus". Jensen said they got Oscar in November 2010, and talked about Oscar had being diagnosed with a bone condition (Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy) at Christmas which he was under treatment for.
