Mitchell Craig "Mitch" Pileggi is an American Actor that plays Samuel Campbell, and briefly as Azazel. Samuel Campbell is Sam and Dean's Grandfather on their Mother's side.
He was born on April 5, 1952 in Portland, Oregon and is best known for playing Walter Skinner in The X-Files and as Col. Steven Caldwell in Stargate Atlantis. In high school, he was an athlete focusing in wrestling and football. After high school, he attended the University of Texas-Austin and received a degree in business. Currently he is married to Arlene Warren and has one daughter.

- Pileggi's family lived in numerous states, including Oregon, California, and Texas.
- Eventually his family moved to Turkey, where he spent most of his adolescence.
- His father, Vito Pileggi, was also a Defense Contractor, prompting the many moves that his family went through.
- He worked in Iran as a defense contractor until he was driven out by the 1979 Iranian Revolution.
