- In the E!Online CW Awards Supernatural won in the Best Series category, with 38.4% of the vote. Jensen Ackles won the Best Actor category, with 41.3% of the vote, and the series creator Eric Kripke won the Best Writer/Producer/Auteur category, with 38.6% of the vote.
- In the TV.com awards for 2008, Supernatural won Best in Genre - Science Fiction, with 49% of the vote. The series lost in the Best Episode category to Lost, after being nominated for "In the Beginning."
