• In the 2008 Television Without Pity Tubey Awards, Supernatural was the Staff Picked Winner of:

Best Performance By An Inanimate Object: Metallicar (Supernatural)

• In the E!Online CW Awards Supernatural won in the Best Series category, with 38.4% of the vote. Jensen Ackles won the Best Actor category, with 41.3% of the vote, and the series creator Eric Kripke won the Best Writer/Producer/Auteur category, with 38.6% of the vote.

• In the TV.com awards for 2008, Supernatural won Best in Genre - Science Fiction, with 49% of the vote. The series lost in the Best Episode category to Lost, after being nominated for "In the Beginning."

2009

• January 2009. Supernatural is nominated for OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUAL EPISODE (in a series without a regular LGBT character) for 3.13 Ghostfacers for the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Awards. • February 2009 Supernatural is nominated in the 7th Annual Rondo Hatton Classic Horror awards, which recognize the best in monster research, creativity and genre appreciation. It is nominated in the "Best Television presentation' for 4.03 In The Beginning. It was the runner-up int he category to an episode of Doctor Who.
• Nominated for a Saturn Award by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films.
