Marie McAnn is the daughter of one of the founders of the Midwestern Brewing Company, makers of Thighslapper Premium Ale. She is a manager at the brewery.

After her brothers — Trevor and Ray — are killed in the woods, Marie agrees to be interviewed by Sam, Dean, and Garth whom she believes to be FBI agents. They meet at the brewery and Dean comments on how her dad owns the brewery. She tells him that he has a co-owner named Randy Baxter and adds that there used to be a third co-owner named Dale Lampert who is now deceased. Marie then goes on to mention that her father blamed himself for Dale's death and that Dale's widow is suing the Midwestern Brewery Company.

After her sister Lillian dies, Sam, Dean, and Garth figure out that the deaths were caused by a shojo released by Dale Lampert. The shojo is killing the children of Jim and Randy, and Dean gets Sam to watch Marie from afar as he and Garth race to kill the shojo. The shojo is eventually killed by Dean.
