Lori is the daughter of reverend Sorenson. In the episode 1.07 Hookman she found herself unknowingly choosing the Hookman’s targets, sending him off to kill those who she subconsciously thought to be immoral people; as a result, the Hookman killed the boy she was on a date with, her promiscuous roommate, and her father (A minister who she had recently discovered was having an affair with a married woman). Her guilt over the deaths became so serious that she unintentionally sent the Hookman after herself before Sam and Dean were able to destroy the silver necklace that she was wearing; as it had been part of the Hookman's hook in life, it counted as his 'remains'.
