Krissy Chambers is the teenage daughter of the hunter Lee Chambers. Her mother was killed in front of her by a supernatural creature. He trains her in weapons and hunting skills, but she has not yet been on a hunt with her father when he disappears while hunting a vetala. When Sam also goes missing, Krissy and Dean's paths intersect and they end up hunting together. After killing the vetalas, Krissy tells Dean that she and her father will give up hunting.
Krissy and her father live a normal life, until Lee is killed by a vampire. Victor Rogers brings her to join a group of young hunters trained by to get revenge while living a normal life at the same time.
Lee Chambers is a hunter pursuing what he thinks is a lone vetala. He has tracked it to a truck stop, not knowing that there is a pair of them - Sally and Marlene. He is poisoned by Marlene, who is posing as a waitress, and she and Sally take him to feed on.
After her father doesn't contact her for five days, Krissy calls Bobby Singer as he had advised if anything happened. Sam answers Bobby's phone, and decides to help her, tracking her down from an address in Bobby's papers.
Krissy pretends to Sam she doesn't know her father is a hunter. Sam finds the material relating to the vetala hunt hidden in Lee's wardrobe, and takes off to track him down. He leaves Dean's number with her.
After Sam doesn't call, Krissy calls Dean. When he arrives she insists on going with him, and tells him she has burned all her fathers papers relating to the hunt - but has memorized them.
In the car, Dean is in no mood to talk, but Krissy asks him how he knows things about the vetala that Sam and Lee didn't. Dean reveals he hunted a pair when Sam was at Stanford. Krissy is surprised that Sam went to college, and Dean suggests she could too.
At the truck stop, they watch Sally take and trucker into his truck - and then Krissy notices Marlene getting in the cab and driving it away. They follow it, and then Dean cuffs her to the steering wheel and takes the precaution of confiscating her lock-pick. However she manages to pick the lock with a bobby pin.
Dean enters the building where Sam and Lee are being held, and he knocks down Marlene, but Sally manages to grab who has followed Dean. However, Krissy manages to stab and kill Sally with a silver knife. Krissy frees Sam, and hands him her knife which he uses to kill Marlene.
Sam and Dean visit Lee in hospital, and advise him to get out of hunting. Lee protests that he got into for his family, and Dean says he should get out for the same reason. Later, Krissy tells Dean that they are leaving the life.
Krissy and Aiden pretend to be a couple that are trying to make out at a local make-out spot in Conway Springs, Kansas. As planned,. a vampire attacks them and Aiden decapitates it from behind and confirms that it was the one that killed his family. Unknown to them, they are caught on a nearby security camera and the cops start looking for them until Dean gets them to call off the search.
Krissy checks into a motel, bribing the clerk to accept her fake ID and meets with Aiden and Josephine about Jimmy Day, the vampire Victor Rogers has told them killed Josephine's family. Aiden flirts with her, but Krissy rejects his advances, claiming to have a boyfriend in Canada that she talks to on Skype. Using ATM footage, they have tracked Jimmy to that motel and Krissy watches through cameras as Aiden and Josephine travel to Jimmy's motel room. When two men break in, Krissy holds them at gunpoint and is shocked to see that it is Sam and Dean and that they tracked her down. Seeing that Aiden and Josephine are in trouble, Krissy, Sam and Dean rush to their aid and when Jimmy runs, Krissy takes him down with a dart loaded with dead man's blood. Jimmy claims to be innocent and not know what's going on and Krissy stops Dean from killing him. When Josephine accuses Jimmy of killing her family, Jimmy protests his innocence and Josephine kills him. While Aiden and Josephine bag up Jimmy's remains, Krissy talks to Dean and reveals what happened that drove her back into the life, earning his sympathy. He tries to get her to go to her aunt that lives in Cincinnati, but she refuses and leads him and Sam to Victor.
Dean goes to interview the woman from the previous night, Connie, who tells her that it was a man in a hoodie driving a blue van who took her, not Jimmy who was a local war hero.
The next morning, Krissy has a quick breakfast with her friends before leaving for school. Victor pulls them out early and shows them a picture of the vampire that killed her father, which he is able to prove as she has on his necklace. Krissy, Aiden and Josephine take off to hunt the vampire.
Arriving at the abandoned Conway Springs Lodge, the three find Dean and the vampire and hold guns on him, insisting on killing her. However, Dean reveals that she is an innocent victim and something else is going on and after easily disarming Aiden, gets them to listen. Krissy still wants to kill her as she is now a vampire, but Dean tells her that as she has never fed, if they can get the blood of the vampire that turned her, they can cure her and Krissy agrees to tie her up until they sort everything out.
Returning to Victor's house, the group finds Sam tied up, Victor with Seth, who is a vampire. They had planned to kill Sam and make it look like a vampire kill, in order to further motivate the kids to hunt. Sam and Dean reveal what they have figured out: Victor has had the vampire kill their families to drive them into hunting so he could train the next generation of hunters and having them get "revenge" by killing people who have just been turned and he has framed. When Krissy asks who the real killer is, the vampire informs her that he killed her father and enjoyed it. Victor disarms himself and tries to convince the group to keep going with him, but they refuse and he has the vampire take Aiden as a hostage so he can escape. Krissy shoots the vampire in the right eye and chest with darts filled with Dead Man's Blood. She then pulls a gun on Victor, threatening to kill him. Krissy decides that having Victor live a lonely life with no one will be revenge enough, but he kills himself instead.
Later, as Aiden and Josephine give the cure to the innocent victim, Krissy says goodbye to Sam and Dean. Sam returns her father's necklace to her and after he leaves them alone, Dean offers once again to drive her to her aunt. However, Krissy decides to stay with Aiden and Josephine as they have made a life and family of their own. They won't go looking for monsters, but if something comes to town, they will kill it. While they are all still minors at the moment, Josephine will soon be eighteen so there will be an adult around. Accepting this, Dean agrees and tells her that he will have Garth check in on them from time to time to make sure they are okay. He also realizes that Krissy has a crush on Aiden, which she denies. When Dean goes to give her a fist bump before leaving, Krissy kisses him on the cheek instead and Dean leaves.
