Kevin Tran is was a teenager from Neighbor, Michigan. He is the son of [[Linda Tran]]. His , and his father died when he was a child. The [[angel]] [[Hester]] refers referred to Kevin as "the sole keeper of the Word on Earth."Kevin becomes a target because of his ability to read and interpret the [[tablets]]. He is first captured by the [[Leviathan]] leader [[Dick Roman]] and then later by [[Crowley]] in order to get him to translate the tablets. He had to learn the hard way how to survive when Sam and Dean disappear for a year. When they return, he is reunited with his mother, but she is later killed by Crowley.

As a prophet, Kevin spends becomes a lot target because of time isolated on his ability to read and interpret the tablets. He is first captured by the Leviathan leader [[GarthDick Roman]]'s boat trying to translate the demon tablet for Sam and Dean, as it promises a way to lock all the demons in Hell. He discovers three then later by [[trialsCrowley]] that must be undertaken. However while Sam is doing the third trial, Dean finds out it will kill in order to get him, and so he calls it off. Kevin's next task is trying to translate the angel tablet, to find away demon tablets. He had to reverse learn the spell which [[Metatron]] used hard way how to expel all the angels from Heavensurvive when Sam and Dean disappear for a year. When they returned, he was reunited with his mother.

The trials, To protect Kevin and continual kidnapping and occasional torturehis mother, took a heavy toll he was placed on Kevin. Despite he clearly becoming part of the Winchester family, Kevin remains cynical that anyone has his best interests at heart. He is killed in [[the BunkerGarth]] by Gadreel on orders from Metatron. After death, Kevin is stuck in 's [[the VeilFizzles' Folly|boat]] where he isolated himself to translate the demon tablet for Sam and returns Dean, as it promised a way to send all the demons on earth to [[ghostHell]] to ask Sam and Dean to rescue his mother who he has lock the gates, forever. He discovered is alivethree [[trials]] that must be undertaken. However, while Sam and was doing the third trial, Dean reunite mother and son finds out it will kill him, and so he calls it off. After God releases released all of the souls of [[Hell]] upon the Earth, Kevin returns returned as one of the [[Hell Ghosts]], revealing that God had cast him to Hell instead of Heaven as he had claimed. Due to being cast to Hell by God himself, Kevin gained a measure of influence over the souls of Hell during his time in the Pit.
