History

Karen Giles was the wife of a victim, Tony Giles, whom Sam and Dean were investigating his death as being possibly supernatural. In the midst of their investigation Karen was also killed, which led to Sam and Dean being arrested for her murder.

Posing as insurance agents, Sam and Dean interview Karen about her husband, Tony and his death. When Dean asks her if Tony had seen anything odd prior to his death, Karen tells them he had a nightmare the night before he died -- claiming to have seen a pale young woman, with dark red eyes standing at the foot of the bed, who suddenly disappeared.

Later, Karen is sitting on the sofa in pajamas, crying, when she hears a figure pass by. Across the room in a mirror she sees a ghostly figure. She turns on the light and the figure is gone. Panicked, she gets up and goes into her bedroom and shuts the door, and calls 911. As she gives the operator her address, the printer on her desk flicks on and starts printing out the same repeated pattern as before: "danashulpsdanashulpsdanashulps". Karen fumbles for a flashlight, turns, and sees the ghost behind her -- a young blond woman with dripping red eyes, causing Karen to scream.

Dean arrives at Karen's home, and upon entering begins to look around. He goes further into the house, up the stairs and into the bedroom. He pushes open the door and sees Karen lying on the floor in a pool of her own blood. Her throat is slit deeply and is soon arrested by a police officer.
