Judah is an H.P. Lovecraft enthusiast, who felt that Lovecraft was literature and should be taught in school. When Sam, Dean and Bobby learn that Lovecraft may have opened a door to Purgatory on March 10th, 1937, Bobby pays a visit to Judah who has the world's largest collection of H.P. Lovecraft's personal letters, and try to get some information about the night in question.
