History

Harry is a self proclaimed "professional" paranormal investigator and was the co-runner of the website Hell Hound's Lair with his best friend and partner Ed Zeddmore. Two years after meeting Sam and Dean Winchester while investigating the legend of Mordechai Murdoch in Richardson, Texas, Harry and Ed meet up - once again - with the Winchesters, along with their team "Ghostfacers," while investing the Morton House in an attempt to catch paranormal activity on film.

In 9.15 #THINMAN its revealed that Harry had contemplated leaving the Ghostfacers for a normal life where he was married, but when Ed created the Thinman, he was sucked back in and it destroyed his relationship. Harry saved Ed by killing Deputy Tom Norwood, one of the two men who were pretending to be Thinman, but as a result of learning the deception, he quit the Ghostfacers (which was just him and Ed at that point) and left with Sam and Dean.

Episodes

1.17 Hell House

Amidst a prank war Sam and Dean travel to Richardson, Texas to visit a reputedly haunted house where they run into Ed and Harry repeatedly. The legend of the ghost thought to be haunting the house is that of Mordechai Murdoch but the Winchesters are unable to find any evidence other than what is posted on the Ghostfacers website. Sam thinks that as people view the website, they are willing into reality what they read there and therefore creating the ghost. In order to “kill off” Mordechai, the boys tell Ed and Harry that they have found out that being shot with iron rounds will kill him. They wait for the boys to post it on their website, and enough people view it for it to become real.

Sam and Dean return to the house to finish off Mordechai, but Ed and Harry are there and tell them that their servers crashed, so the new legend will not manifest. As Mordechai attacks them, Dean sets the house on fire, figuring that without that part of the legend Mordechai won’t exist. Sam and Dean farewell Ed and Harry – Sam with a prank call from a Hollywood producer and Dean with a fish in the back of their car.

3.13 Ghostfacers

After their experience with Mordechai Murdoch, Harry and Ed decide to start their own ghost hunting team called the Ghostfacers along with Ed's adopted sister Maggie, Spruce and intern Alan J. Corbett. Their mission is to investigate the leap year ghost of Morton House, the team arrives to set-up base camp at the house, and proceed to try and document contact with a ghost. Harry, Maggie and Spruce take the second floor of the house where they feel a clear temperature drop and spiking EMF, when they suddenly see an apparition of a man in a hat get shot and disappear. Excited that they have seen an apparition, they race to the living room, where Ed is with Sam and Dean relay what they saw.

Corbett's anguished scream is heard in the distance, prompting Ed, Harry and Maggie to run upstairs only to find Corbett is not there. Harry then begins to go through all the camera feeds to try and find out what happened to Corbett but are unable to find any footage showing what happened to him. Later when Sam disappears, Ed finds out that Harry has started a relationship with his sister, and the two get in a tussle before they are stopped by Dean. Dean figures out that since Daggett lived during the Cold War he would have a bomb shelter and heads for the basement, telling Harry, Ed and Maggie to get in a ring of salt for protection. While in the salt circle the group sees the ghost of Corbett reliving his death, prompting Harry to urge Ed to go "be gay" for Corbett and snap him out of his death echo. Once out of his death loop Corbett destroys Daggett, allowing for everyone to leave Morton House safely.

The next morning Harry and Ed screen the pilot for Sam and Dean, who end up leaving a large electromagnet, which erases all the hard drives including the Ghostfacers pilot.

4.17 It's a Terrible Life

Harry and Ed make an appearance as the Ghostfacers in the Alternate Universe that Zachariah, in order to get Sam and Dean to understand their place in the world.

When a ghost beings attacking people at Sandover Bridge & Iron Inc., employees Dean Smith and Sam Wesson team up to figure out what is going on, during their research they come across the Ghostfacers website and watch a tutorial by Harry and Ed on ghost hunting. In the video they go over three rules to fight the supernatural. First thing is to figure out what you're up against, and then kill it. Secondly they go over the main weakness of ghosts, the first being salt, and also demonstrate a trick they learned from the Winchesters (who still suck ass) by putting rock salt in shotgun shells, the second weapon is iron which dissipates spirits instantly, and Ed calls "pure power in your hand."

The video ends with Harry and Ed describing the final way to get rid of a ghost -- burning it's remains.
