History
The Hand of God is also a catch-all term used to describe any antediluvian object on Earth that God has touchedon Earth during biblical times, imbuing it with traces of His power. There According to Lucifer, there were several God-touched objects on Earth at one point according to Lucifer, but they were believed to not have survived the Great Flood, let alone made it to the 20th century. The power that emanates from the Hand of God is too potent and unstable, making it dangerous to touch bare handed, as a mortal would not be able to survive long making direct contact with the object. Angels and few demons are the only creatures that can withstand and harness it's power. These objects can only be used once -- after the power within is drained, these objects will be rendered useless. ==Hands of God==* Ark of the Covenant: The golden chest that contains the original stone tablets inscribed with the ten commandments. In 1943, a fragment of the original ark was discovered by the Thule Society during the Ahnenerbe who believed that they could use it to win World War II. A Woman of Letters; Delphine Seydoux, posing undercover as a French mistress to Befehlsleiter Gumprecht, kills her German lover and made off with the weapon. A Man of Letters stationed in the OSS requisitioned the USS Bluefin to transport Delphine and the weapon back to the United States where it was supposed to be hidden in the Bunker. Dean, who was sent back in time to November 25, 1943, tries to retrieve the ark fragment with the hopes of using it against Amara. When a 36-B German destroyer captained by Gumprecht, who was revealed to be a member of the Thule Society, attacks the submarine, Delphine absorbs the power from the ark fragment and destroys the ship along with its crew. The resulting blast destroyed the USS Bluefin and its crew, but not before Lucifer retrieves Dean and the Hand of God from the past. At first, Lucifer wants to absorb its power and use it against Sam and Dean, but its energy was drained rendering it useless. It is currently in the Men of Letters Bunker. * Rod of Aaron: Made by God on the sixth day, the rod was given to Aaron, brother of Moses and the creator of the Golden Calf. At some point in time, Crowley was able to recover the rod and hide it in his lock-up. Crowley heads to his lock-up with Simmons to retrieve the rod, but Lucifer was tracking them to retrieve the weapon, even planting Simmons as a double-agent to trick Crowley. Crowley was able to double cross them both by absorbing the rod's power and intended to use it against Lucifer, but Simmons jumps in front to protect him and takes the blast, killing herself. With the rod's powers drained, Crowley makes a quick escape to avoid certain death, leaving the rod in his lock-up. * Horn of Joshua: The shofar used by Joshua to win the Battle of Jericho. It was located in the An-Nafud desert in Saudi Arabia by Noel who sells it to Crowley in exchange for the return of his soul. Crowley meets with Sam and Dean in St. Louis to offer them the horn in exchange for imprisoning Lucifer in the Cage once again. After discovering Rowena is alive, the trio decide to use the shofar as bait to lure Lucifer in an archangel trap of Rowena's design. Unfortunately, the holy fire and the trap eventually fails, allowing him to steal the shofar. Suddenly, Amara appears having tracking Rowena when she left her side. Lucifer absorbs the energy in the shofar and aims it at her, but it proves to be ineffective against an annoyed Amara who kidnaps Lucifer for his troubles. The shofar is currently located in the Men of Letters Bunker.
