Founded in 1953, Motion Picture Sound Editors (M.P.S.E.) is is a non-profit organization of motion picture sound editors. The society's goals are to educate others about and increase the recognition of the sound editors, show the artistic merit of the soundtracks, and improve the professional relationship of its members. Each year the MPSE presents the Golden Reel Awards, in which they acknowledge the year's best work in the various areas of sound editing: Dialogue & ADR, Effects & Foley, and Music.


2006

  • Supernatural was nominated for a Golden Reel Award for "Best Sound Editing in Television Short Form - Sound Effects & Foley" for the Pilot Episode.

2007

  • Supernatural was nominated for a Golden Reel Award for "Best Sound Editing in Television Short Form - Sound Effects & Foley" for the 1.21 Salvation Episode.
