Gertrude "Call me Gert' Case is the aunt of Sheila Case. Sheila is killed by the Sailor’s Ghost, after she sees the Ghost Ship the Espírito Santo, because she was the driver in a car accident that killed her cousin Brian.
Gert is first contacted by Bela who uses the alias "Alex". Gert helps her, and the Winchesters, gain entry to the Sea Pines Maritime Museum where the Hand of Glory is kept, not realizing Bela's true intent.
Gert is very attracted to Sam.
