GLAAD Awards
The GLAAD Media Awards are awarded by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) to "recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and the issues that affect their lives."
2009
Supernatural is nominated for OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUAL EPISODE (in a series without a regular LGBT character) for 3.13 Ghostfacers which features gay Ghostfacers intern Corbett, who is killed but still manages to destroy the monster. It lost out to an episode of The New Adventures of Old Christine. See nominees reel here
2010
Supernatural is nominated for OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUAL EPISODE (in a series without a regular LGBT character) for 5.09 The Real Ghostbusters which featured [{Demian and Barnes]], two gay LARpers in a relationship who help defeat a vengeful spirit at a Supernatural convention. It lost out to an episode of Parks and Recreation.
2014
Supernatural is nominated for OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUAL EPISODE (in a series without a regular LGBT character) for 8.11 LARP and the Real Girl by Robbie Thompson. The episode features Felicia Day in her second of four appearances on the show as lesbian geek girl and later hunter Charlie Bradbury. Winners will be announced in May 2014.
