History
Future Chuck represents Chuck Shurley five years into the future of 2009. During his era in 2014, Lucifer's minions re-release the Croatoan demon virus - in this post-apocalyptic world, most humans have been reduced to murderous zombies. Chuck is at Camp Chitaqua with Future Dean, Future Castiel and other survivors. Future Chuck is in charge of supplies. Toilet According to him, toilet paper, he informs Dean, is 'like gold'has become especially sparse. A display on a dilapidated movie theater advertises Route 666 indicating that one of Chuck's Supernatural books was made into a movie.  ==Episodes=====5.04 The End===Future Chuck meets Dean from 2009 outside Future Dean's cabin. He originally thought that he was Future Dean, who left earlier on a mission to recover the Colt, but he soon discovers that he's from 2009. Before both Deans leave for a mission to kill Lucifer with the Colt, Chuck tells him to 'hoard toilet paper like it's made of gold' when he goes back to the past. Future Chuck's fate is unknown. Future Dean leads an attack against Lucifer, in which he uses his team, including Future Castiel and others, as a decoy. The team is presumed to have been killed, or turned, by "croats," and Future Dean is killed by Lucifer. The survivors at the camp may be overrun following this disaster, but this is not shown.
NotesTrivia
* There was mixed opinion amongst fans as to whether the future shown here is "real" or merely constructed by Zachariah to persuade Dean to become Michael's Vessel. In the commentary to the episode on the Season 5 DVD Eric Kripke and Ben Edlund describe how initially the episode was going to involve time travel, but the premise became so complicated (they describe drawing it on a whiteboard to explain to Bob Singer who retorted - "You going to do that for the viewers?") that they changed it to an alternate universe model.
