Description
Fandom Rocks Helping people, changing things: the fandom business.
Started in June, 2007, Fandom Rocks is a fan-run initiative to raise funds and awareness for charities around the globe.
The project is inspired by similar campaigns in the Firefly, Buffy, Angel, and Veronica Mars fandoms
The charities are selected by the fans, and every six months two new charities receive the donations collected on Fandom Rocks.
In July 2008 Fandom Rocks started their third campaign, collecting money for WriteGirl and InvisibleChildren (suggested by Sera Gamble in form of an e-bay auction of fan goodies in August 2008. More about the campagin can be found here.
