History

Outside Muncie, Indiana along I-90, Mercury re-constructed a decimated hotel, effectively resulting in the creation of Elysian Fields Hotel.^{5.19 Hammer of the Gods} Mercury acted as the primary desk-clerk for this 4-star resort. His contributions and activities included signing people in and out of the hotel. Zao Shen acted as the head chef, preparing meals out of the hotel guests for the assembly of pagan gods meeting to stop the Apocalypse. Gabriel attends their meeting as well, under the guise of the Norse trickster god Loki, futilely attempting to dissuade them from interfering with the archangels' plans and keep them alive.

Desperate to stop the ongoing conflict, Mercury summons Lucifer to the hotel, where he disclaims that these deities hold the right to rule Earth. Lucifer kills Mercury and all the other deities there except for Kali, who escaped with help from Gabriel and the Winchesters, and Zao Shen, who was killed by Dean.
