After Leviathan!Sam and Leviathan!Dean go on a killing spree (while driving a 67 Impala) causing the real Sam and Dean to become America's 2nd most wanted criminals in 7.06 Slash Fiction, Frank Devereaux advises the boys to lock up the Impala to avoid detection. At first they drive a Pontiac Acadian, but once Dean and Sam part ways, Dean steals a Dodge Challenger.
The car is a two door sport coup with mismatched panels (likely as a result of an accident) with North Carolina plates: S5I 2978. A first generation Dodge Challenger, it is a pony car built from 1970 to 1974 using the Chrysler E platform and sharing major components with the Plymouth Barracuda.
Dean is not impressed with the fuzzy black dice hanging from the rearview mirror, or the pile of takeout wrappers on the passenger seat.
