Doctor Who is the worlds longest scif-fi TV show - first airing in 1963. It follows the adventures of the Doctor, his real name is never revealed, as he travels across space and time accompanied by a human companion in a machine called the TARDIS.
- In 2.12 Nightshifter, Ronald Resnick has a copy of the Fortean Times Featuring Cybermen, a character from Doctor Who, on the cover.
- Mark Sheppard has appeared on both shows -- as Crowley in Supernatural and as Canton Delaware in Doctor Who.
- In another nod, the kitsune in 7.03 The Girl Next Door is called Amy Pond, after one of the Doctor's traveling companions.
