Detective Howard was the detective called to the scene after the murder of Stanton at the LaCroix manor.

After the death of Stanton, Detective Howard is sent to investigate. When Sam and Dean return to the mansion, he declares them murder suspects and detains them with the rest of Bunny's family at the mansion for questioning. Detective Howard is "found" dead with his head in the toilet by Olivia. It's later revealed that Olivia had killed him, and had been picking off the people in the mansion one by one.
