In his rage, Doug picks up a shotgun. As green ectoplasm leaks from his ear, he goes to the sheriff's desk and tells him to write his own reports before pulling the trigger, killing him. After the shooting he tells Sam and Dean that he was tackled by Officer Karl Henry, who took his gun and said he was going to the hospital.
