During the first night of the Minnesota-Dakotas Sheriffs' Retreat, as Donna and Jody's question Sheriff Len Cuse about the spate of suspicious deaths happening, Brice interrupts and asks to have a word with Sheriff Cuse under the guise of problems with the raffle. He has a quiet conversation with the sheriff before Jody begins asking questions. They explain that yet another person has turned up dead in a suspected animal attack.

The next day, Sam and Dean show up and ask how Sheriff Cuse and Deputy Graham are getting along in the investigation of the strange deaths. Deputy Graham seems incredulous that the FBI have nothing better to do than investigate these deaths that he believes to be animal attacks. Dean fires back that they "go where the boss tells us to". Brice jokes that Sam and Dean are here to arrest a bobcat and that they aren't the first feds to roll through. He and Dean have a tense back and forth confrontation before Sam intervenes and gets the conversation back on track by asking if there's any surveillance footage of the attacks. When Sheriff Cuse tells them there isn't, Brice takes a sip of his coffee in a shifty, suspicious manner which catches the Winchesters' attention. The sheriff asks Brice to keep an eye on the expo while he checks in with animal control.

When Dean strolls up to Brice's booth at the expo, Brice continues his teasing of Dean by asking if he needs some "teeny-weeny" handcuffs to apprehend whatever animal is attacking people in Hibbing. Dean manages to sweet-talk Deputy Graham into revealing that there is, in fact, footage of the attacks and that Sheriff Cuse changed the password on the server which has the live feed of the traffic camera in the area where the first victim was attacked. He insists that, although this sounds suspicious, he's sure the sheriff had his reasons for lying about the lack of footage.
