As with anything else in the Supernatural universe, death can come to any being, even gods. Pagan gods, due to their weakened state from their lack of worshipers, are susceptible to death given the proper weapon or ritual. Typically pagan gods appear to require a special wooden stake, usually coated in the blood of something to kill them. The Colt also has the ability to kill a pagan god.

The God of the Abrahamic religions, known as Chuck, is also susceptible to becoming morally wounded, with the former Death claiming that one day he will reap God too.
