I haven't had my own room. Ever. I'm making this awesome. I've got my kickass vinyl. I've got this killer mattress. Memory foam -- it remembers me! And it's clean, too. There's no funky smell. There are no creepy motel stains.

Dean Winchester, 8.14 Trial and Error

Inside Dean's Bedroom

Dean's bedroom is located in Room 11 in the Men of Letters Bunker.[1] Dean takes great delight in decorating his bedroom, adorning it with his weapons on the wall, including the axe he found in Purgatory. He places a photo of his mother and him, which he always carried in his wallet, on the desk. He starts building a vinyl collection along with the records left by the Men of Letters, which includes Howard McGhee, Vol. 2, and Nat King Cole Sings for Two in Love. Dean has also bought a memory foam mattress for the bed.

After Dean and Sam's falling out, and after he takes on the Mark of Cain, Dean's bedroom appears cleared of these homelike touches. [2]

While Sam attempts to summon Crowley, Crowley is already in the Bunker and in Dean's room. He says that he didn't know the full extent of the Mark of Cain. He does say that he omitted to tell Dean that Cain also did not want to become the killer the Mark was making him -- so he stabbed himself with the First Blade. It didn't kill him because the Mark wouldn't let him die. Crowley puts the Blade into Dean's hand. He tells Dean that he's feeling a new kind of life and tells him to open his eyes. He tells Dean he will now see what he sees, and feel what he feels. After a moment, Dean opens his eyes: he has become a Knight.

While they’re having their beers, Sam apologizes to Dean for not looking for him when he was in Purgatory. Dean shakes it off, saying that the important thing is that they’re together now. Right before he goes to bed, Sam asks Dean why the banshee went for him, if it only goes after the vulnerable. Dean lightly answers that the banshee saw his golden blade and decided to attack him instead of Mildred Baker. Sam shrugs and accepts this explanation, but later that night Dean is unable to sleep. He is left sitting on his bed with his head in his hands, obviously troubled by his thoughts.
