History
Elkins is a hunter who lives in Manning, Colorado. He has been hunting since at least the 1960s (as Dean sees when he flicks through Elkins' journal). His specialty was hunting and killing vampires. He taught John Winchester a lot about hunting, but they parted on bad terms. In 1973, Dean steals the Colt from Elkins, he tells him it will be with the Campbells in Kansas. Elkins again had possession of the Colt before the Winchesters obtained it in 1.20 Dead Man's Blood. Elkins is killed in his home by vampires in November 2006.
