EVENTS

These are events featuring cast and crew from Supernatural. There is likely to be a Gish event, but yet to be confirmed.

Thursday July 18th

  • Wayward Cocktails (from 6pm, Garage Kitchen and Bar) is a celebration of all things Supernatural with snacks from the Bunker, themed cocktails, mocktails, wine and beer, and a Hunter’s Bag full of exclusive goodies. Tickets available here. Free to cast and crew of Supernatural.

  • Psychology of Cult TV Shows: An Annual Review (8:00pm – 9:00pm; Room 25ABC)

This team of actors, TV writers, and psychologists will discuss the psychology of your favorite TV shows. Paenllists include: Ruth Connell and Rachel Miner, Dr. Janina Scarlet, Tamara Robertson, writers Greg Weisman, Deric Hughes, and Jonathan Maberry (V-Wars). Dustin McGinnis (Superhero Therapy podcast) moderates.

Friday July 19th

  • The Boys (3:30 – 4:30 p.m, Ballroom 20) Join executive producers Seth Rogen and Eric Kripke, along with series stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, and Elisabeth Shue, with moderator Aisha Tyler, for a behind the scenes look at their upcoming series. The Boys is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes – who are as popular as celebrities – abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super-powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven.

  • Don’t Dream It’s Over: What Fandoms Do When Long-Running Stories End (7:00pm – 8:00pm; Grand 12 & 13, Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina} A mix of fans and pros, including Flourish Klink (Fansplaining), Lynn Zubernis (Family Don’t End with Blood), and Craig Titley (executive producer/writer, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) discuss how fandoms continue after the “official” stories wrap up through meet-ups and cons, transformative works and meta—and how fans can support their favorite off-the-air stories to encourage sequels, spinoffs, and reboots.

  • DisSDCC: Representation, Inclusion, Accessibility (9pm-10pm; Room 28DE). A panel and Q & A focusing on disability representation in media and fandom. Panelists will include Rachel Miner (Supernatural, D&D Live), Shoshannah Stern (This Close, Supernatural), and Nic Novicki (Easterseals Disability Film Challenge). Other panelists include: Cindy Kapp, Kai Winchester, Emy Cook, and Lynn Gagne. It is moderated by Tanya Cook (Always Keep Nerd Fighting). ASL interpreters will be present.

Saturday July 20th

  • Beyond Scream Queens (Room 26AB, 8:30pm - 9:30pm) Horror veterans Jocelin Donahue (The House of the Devil, Doctor Sleep), Alex Essoe (Doctor Sleep, Starry Eyes), Alaina Huffman (The Perfection, Supernatural), Heidi Honeycutt (Etheria Film Night), and Ruth Connell (Supernatural) lead a discussion of how horror roles can empower women by giving them the opportunity to be the hero of the story-or the villain. Moderated by John Marcotte (Heroic Girls).

Sunday July 21st

  • Supernatural Panel (10:30-11:30am; Hall H). Rob Benedict and Richard Speight to host. Panellists tbc.
  • Autograph signings will take place in the WB/DC booth #4545. Time to be confirmed. This will follow Comic-Con’s ticket drawing/wristband distribution procedure for all signings. Check here for more info.
