Career

Christian played in bands from an early age, and left a degree in Art History at the University of Oklahoma pursue his music in Los Angeles. A day job in a production company lead to an acting role in Fame L.A. in 1997. This led to other acting roles in both TV and movies. In 1999 he landed the role of evil lawyer Lindsay McDonald in Angel. Chris also appeared in The Plight of Clownana, a short film which was co-produced by Jensen Ackles.

In 1998, with musician Steve Carlson, he formed Kane, a country/rock band which has released two albums and has had success both in L.A. and abroad.

Chris continues to combine both acting and music, with recent film credits including the romantic drama The Hill and horror movies Hide and Death Walks the Streets.

In 2008, he took on the role of Eliot Spencer in the TV Show Leverage, along with Supernatural alumni Aldis Hodge.

Chris continues performing as a musician, and his debut album The House Rules was released in 2010. Since Leverage shot in Portland, Oregon, he performed there a number of times, often joined by Steve Carlson.

On June 9, 2009 Christian Kane and Steve Carlson played at Dante's in Portland, Oregon. Also in attendance were co-stars Tim Hutton, Aldis Hodge, and Jensen and Danneel. Jensen joined the band on stage for a few songs, including "Happy Birthday".

Christian in Fandom

Christian featured in Supernatural RPF fanworks from the beginning. He had already figured in fic due to his role in Angel, and so that and his friendship with Jensen made it natural for him to be included in early J-squared stories.

Many Supernatural fans also became fans of his and Steve Carlson's music.
