On his way to meet with Chief, Dean walks along Bleeker Street until he comes to a neon sign saying 426. Dean knocks on the bars on the door. The chain-link door swings open, revealing a young man who eyes Dean. After Dean tells him he is there to see Chief, Dean is led downstairs where he waits alone. A door opens and Dean turns to face it: a large man dressed in leather steps through, taken aback, Dean realizes that the magicians have sent him on a wild goose chase. Telling Chief there has been a misunderstanding. However, Chief thinks this is a part of Dean's game and asks Dean for his safeword, much to to Dean's discomfort.

While questioning Jay, Charlie and Vernon about tarot cards, due to Vernon having used them in his act. Vernon and Charlie send Dean to meet a man who goes by the name Chief who Patrick Vance, supposedly crossed years ago.
