Episode Powers
4.01 Lazarus Rising Castiel makes his presence known to Dean. His presence causes electrical interference and his angelic voice causes a high-pitched piercing noise to shatter the windows in a gas station Dean is in. Castiel later also smites demons in a diner Sam and Dean had been in earlier. His true angelic visage is able to burn out the eyes of psychic Pamela Barnes, as well as demons. Castiel also renders Bobby Singer unconscious with a single touch.
4.02 Are You There God? It's Me, Dean Winchester Dreamwalking, Castiel appears in Dean's dream, threatening him.
4.03 In the Beginning Teleportation and time travel, Castiel sends Dean back in time to 1973.
4.10 Heaven and Hell Telekinesis, Castiel makes doors open with his mind.
4.15 Death Takes a Holiday Voice mimickery, Castiel pretends to be Bobby Singer while speaking with Sam over the phone.
4.18 The Monster at the End of This Book Answers Dean's prayer by teleporting to the motel parking lot.
4.20 The Rapture Castiel, in the body of Claire Novak, smites the demons threatening the Novak family.
4.21 When the Levee Breaks Uses telekinesis to free Sam of his bonds in Bobby's Panic Room.
4.22 Lucifer Rising Possibly alters Dean's voicemail to Sam, calling Sam a "monster."
5.01 Sympathy for the Devil Brands Enochian warding sigils into Sam and Dean's ribs, concealing them from angels.
5.02 Good God, Y'All Castiel is cut off from Heaven, diminishing his abilities. Specifically the ability to heal injuries.
5.03 Free to Be You and Me Castiel reads the mind of a sex worker, telling her it's not her fault her father left her family.
5.04 The End Castiel teleports Dean to safety.
5.10 Abandon All Hope... Castiel is able to see the reapers gathered in Springfield, Missouri.
5.13 The Song Remains the Same Time travel, Castiel sends himself, Sam and Dean back in time to 1978. The act drains him of his powers, and renders him unconscious.
6.22 The Man Who Knew Too Much Castiel opens the door to Purgatory to gather the souls inside of him, giving him powers akin to God, allowing him to destroy Raphael at a subatomic level and survives being stabbed with an angel blade.
7.01 Meet the New Boss Power akin to God. Castiel easily smites Raphael's loyalists in Heaven, confronts a homophobic preacher, forcing him to choke to death on his own tongue, forces a parishioner to remain seated, places his image on a stained glass window, forces the KKK to disband, causes a lightning strike to burn down the Center for Vibrational Enlightenment, bypasses Crowley's warding sigils, removes Death's bindings and gives a blind homeless man his sight back.
