History
Captain Larry James is one of the only African American Texas Rangers. While Cordell Walker was away on the undercover assignment, he was promoted to Captain of the Texas Rangers. James used to be partners with Cordell and knows how to get things done but he wants them done the right way. James is more than just the boss and former partner, he is a friend. Like Micki, he wants to make a difference and prove that his worth. James is also close with Cordell's entire family. James looks out for the people around him. James assisted with Liam and Walker in finding out the truth about who really killed Emily.
